Skip the highway.
Depart locally instead of driving to a major airport or spending the day on the road.

Music City. Your itinerary.
A board meeting, a campus weekend, a sold-out show. Fly into Nashville or leave from closer to home, with the airport and aircraft that fit your plans.
Two gateways. More possibilities.
John C. Tune is Nashville’s executive airport, serving general aviation on the west side of the city. It is our starting point for many conversations about private travel in the metro area.
Nashville International is an option too. For a home or destination south or west of town, compare the actual drive to Tune, BNA, and nearby regional airports. Neither airport is automatically the closest choice for every address, and private flights at BNA do not mean joining the airline check-in queue.
North of Nashville, consider Gallatin or Springfield. To the south and southeast, Smyrna, Murfreesboro, and Columbia may fit. Your ground destination and aircraft requirements guide the final choice.
Why fly privately?
Depart locally instead of driving to a major airport or spending the day on the road.
Land near where you’re actually going and skip layovers.
Board without airline check-in or security lines.
Make the meeting or the game without turning it into a multi-day trip.
Downtown & country music
Lower Broadway’s live music, an evening at the Ryman, or a visit to Music Row can be the reason for the trip, not something squeezed between connections. Nashville draws couples, friends, artists, and industry guests with very different plans for the same city.
Arrive for the show, settle into your hotel, and leave time for dinner downtown. For performers and music-business travelers, the itinerary may also include rehearsals, studio sessions, or meetings. Ground transportation and any equipment needs belong in the plan from the start.

Tennessee Titans & Nashville Predators
A Titans weekend at Nissan Stadium or a Predators game at Bridgestone Arena gives fans, families, and business hosts a reason to come together. Build the flight around your visit, with time for the journey from the airport to the stadium, arena, or hotel.
Football and hockey can anchor a full Nashville weekend. Downtown dining and Broadway are part of the appeal, but event traffic matters as much as the distance on a map. Check the team’s schedule and venue arrangements before finalizing your plans.

Vanderbilt University
Vanderbilt brings prospective students, parents, alumni, researchers, and visiting speakers to Nashville throughout the year. An admissions visit or graduation can be paired with time together in the city, with your flight planned around the occasion.
On football weekends, FirstBank Stadium brings SEC competition to campus. Leave room for the pregame gathering and the postgame crowd, rather than planning only around kickoff. A university appointment and a Vanderbilt University Medical Center visit may have different arrival points, so use the specific building when arranging onward travel.

Belmont University
Belmont visits can range from a first campus tour to graduation, a performance, or a professional event. Its music-business program connects the academic experience with the city’s entertainment community, making Nashville both a destination and a working classroom.
For families traveling together, a private itinerary can keep campus time and the rest of the weekend connected. Visiting faculty, speakers, and industry guests can also plan around the appointment that brings them here, with the airport chosen for the complete journey.

Business & healthcare
Nashville is also a working destination for healthcare leaders, corporate teams, investors, and convention attendees. A downtown meeting, a West End appointment, and a visit to the Cool Springs business corridor are different ground journeys, even when each itinerary says Nashville.
Private aviation can connect a site visit or regional meeting with the rest of your day. Choose the airport around the office, medical campus, or event venue you need to reach. For meetings south of the city, explore our Franklin and Brentwood pages as well.
Healthcare-related travel described here is ordinary passenger charter, not an air ambulance or medical-care service.
